Function: Edge Dye & Coat for Leather
Simply remove the outer cap and inner cap (behind the applicator), then reattach and saturate the applicator in edge dye. Ensure your leather is clean and free of treatments or contaminants and run the saturated applicator over the edge of your leatherwork until the desired amount has been applied and leave to dry. For optimum results, gently burnish the lacquer shortly after it has become tack free, yet still pliable.
Note : These edge dyes are designed for vegetable tanned leather, basically if you leather can absorb the dye then it should work, but if your leather is sealed and does not absorb the dye then it may peel off over time. It may be possible to roughen the edge of your leather with an sandpaper, exposing the grain or absorbent surface, then applying the edge dye. However, as we cannot guarantee this method will work in all cases, please take precautions to ensure your leatherwork is not damaged and always test this method on a test piece to see if it will yield the results desired, before progressing onto your actual project.
