This Kakiage ring is used for making deep fried tempura. Great and simple when you wanted to cook ring-shaped japanese deep fried tempura. Just put the mixed tempura batter (normally consist of mixed flour with vegetable and ebi) inside the kakiage ring and then fried in a lot of hot oil.
